Karine MONTREUIL , space designer in Grenoble.
After studying graphic design at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Appliqués DUPERRE (Paris), I obtained in 1995 the diploma of Master Designer at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Grenoble. A year at the University of Quebec in Montreal, in the department of Environmental Design, completed my training.
My company, Atelier Kaali, is specialized in interior design, decoration consulting and wall design. I intervene as well for the private individuals, the communities or the professionals.
Several architect friends were using it as a complementary software to AUTOCAD.
– HOW DO YOU USE SKETCHUP TODAY, WHAT DO YOU USE IT FOR?
I model on SketchUp almost every project I work on. This tool facilitates my design work and allows me to communicate easily with the client.
– WHAT IS THE STRENGTH OF SKETCHUP IN YOUR BUSINESS?
Easy and quick to use, access to a large bank of 3D images that allows me not to systematically redraw everything. 3D modeling allows my clients to have a better understanding of the space than with simple plans.

– Could you introduce yourself in a few words (you, your activity, your background, your specialty)?
=> I am above all passionate about what I do. My work: 3D graphic designer, specialized in architectural visualization in renovation, interior decoration, interior and exterior design, furniture creation, and design of living rooms (kitchen, bathroom…). My main activity is the conception, the realization of an image to serve an idea, a company, a product in various sectors.
– How do you use SketchUp today and what do you use it for?
=> I work mainly with SketchUp for all my projects. I discovered SketchUp thanks to an architect friend who works with this software. After having done a private training for 1 year now, I have evolved.
