MODELING
This tutorial shows modeling for photorealistic rendering
SETTING THE UNITS
UNIT
I start by setting the units in Sketchup in order to avoid that the modeling tools magnetize on a grid not adapted to the current modeling.
- window menu
- model information
- choose “unit” on the left panel
- choose the unit in the sketchup interface
- uncheck the length anchor
IMPORTING COMPONENTS FROM THE 3DWAREHOUSE
Finding the right components in the 3Dwarehuse is sometimes tricky, we will come back to this in a future tutorial
TEXTURE WITH LAYOUT
Finding a texture that fits perfectly to our need is longer than making it. Here I show how to make a texture with the Layout software in Layout.
LIGHTS SETTING
In this tutorial I only deal with the sun setting in Sketchup.
POSITIONING A TEXTURE ON A CYLINDER
Adding lights and materials in Sketchup
PHOTOREALISTIC RENDERING PROGRAMS
Photorealistic rendering programs add photons to 3D models
THE HARDWARE, WHICH COMPUTERS FOR PHOTOREALISTIC RENDERING
The hardware used for photorealistic rendering with Thearender is very important because it allows to define the speed of production of an image
This tutorial will show you what Thearender looks like for SketchUp.
