About 3 years ago, through a subcontractor who is a Sketchup user.
– How do you use SketchUp today, what do you use it for?
I use Sketchup with pleasure. It allows me to present in 3D 2D drawings that are difficult to understand. It is very much appreciated by the clients.
– What is the strength of Google SketchUp in your business?
The possibility to walk around (Camera) in the drawing is an asset to detect, understand and make understand the inconsistencies invisible in 2D.
The possibility to create an animation (easy to distribute by email, easy to read).
The possibility of embedding the work on Google Earth.
The commercial aspect is not negligible. To present a project in 3D positioned on the ground of a photographic bottom provided by the customer, is more appreciated by this last one than the plans monochrome 2D.
